The Plenary, made up of the Mayor and the Councillors, is the body of maximum political representation of the citizens in the municipal government. It is convened and chaired by the Mayor, except in the cases provided for in Law 7/1985, of 2 April, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime and in general electoral legislation. It is made up of 27 Councillors, including the Mayor/Mayor-President.

The Plenary has a Secretary, who is the Secretary General of the Corporation, and has Committees.

Plenary sessions may be ordinary, extraordinary and urgent. The Plenary will hold ordinary sessions once a month and extraordinary sessions when they are called as such by the Presidency, either on its own initiative or at the request of a quarter of the legal number of members of the Corporation. Extraordinary and urgent sessions when they are called as such by the Presidency, in those cases in which, for justified reasons, the session cannot be called with the required advance notice.

The Local Government Board is the body which, under the presidency of the Mayor or Mayoress, collaborates collegially in the political management function which corresponds to the Mayor or Mayoress and exercises the executive and administrative functions indicated in art. 127 of Law 7/1985, of 2 April, of the Bases of the Local Regime.

The Local Government Board is politically accountable to the Plenary for its management in a joint and several manner, without prejudice to the direct responsibility of each of its members for their management.

It is the Mayor/Mayor's responsibility to appoint the members of the Local Government Board, whose number may not exceed one third of the legal number of members of the Plenary, in addition to the Mayor.

Date of the meeting: The Governing Board of the City of Alcorcón will hold ordinary weekly sessions on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m., unless this coincides with a public holiday, in which case it will be held on the following working day.
